  Really amazing class! The teachers were all so friendly and informative. It was a great split of teaching and hands on practice. They really broke the process down for me which is a great way for me to learn. Have already curled my hair twice since the class and feeling much more confident.

  Trust me when I say I was helpless at hair curling prior to this class. I bought all the curling products and tools out there, watched all the tutorial videos etc and nothing seemed to create the nice beachy curlsI was seeking (that didn't fall out) or really any kind of curls at that. This class started with a tutorial that went over relevant products, different types of hot tools and techniques. We then went off to our individual stations and several instructors walked around giving hands on advice. This was WELL worth the money- don't even hesitant to take this class.

  Extremely helpful! I brought my own straightener and curling wand - and learned my wand is to large for my short hair. I used my straightener and learned how to use it to curl my hair to get consistent results. I'm really happy with the results.

  Loved loved loved this class! I could not curl my hair to save my life, despite watching YouTube videos and trying. But now I know how to do beachy waves with a flat iron.   I got so much out of this class! The instructors were so knowledgeable! They taught various methods/tools and shared what products to use for different scenarios. I am left handed so I often get confused learning stuff like this from your tube but feel totally confident thanks to these guys!! Great to do with a friend so you can go out afterwards with your curled hair!

  Great class! I learned a lot from the instructional portion at the beginning and the instructors were awesome about coming around and helping during the hands-on part. It was also nice to have access to all their different tools to figure out which one was the best fit for me.

  I have never been able to figure out how to curl my hair. I watched YouTube videos, I had friends show me, but it never clicked. Within fives minutes of seeing the demonstration, I was able to curl with a curling iron. The flat iron took a little bit longer, but I left feeling confident that with some practice, I will have that figured out soon too!

  I’ve been wanting to learn how to curl my own hair for a long time and no amount of YouTube instructional videos could help. Goldplaited actually taught me the right way to curl my hair and even with multiple different styling tools. Definitely bring all your hair styling tools and products with you if you can, so you can practice using your own stuff!

  I’m hopeless with a curling iron, so you know I just had try this class! The instructors were endlessly patient and answered all my questions and gave everyone tips based on their hair type. It was definitely more of a social class (I was the only one without a group), so that might be something to keep in mind when registering.

  Would highly recommend this class for anyone looking to improve their curling iron techniques. The instructors were personable, knowledgable and very approachable. The small class size led for lots of personalized attention and technique corrections. Right off the bat I learned of several cardinal rules I was breaking that led to many of my curling misfortunes in the past.

  Every lesson in this class was new to me! I learned a ton of great tips about products, tools, and techniques. You might think you know how to use a curling iron, but you don’t! Also, there was a great balance between demonstration and hands-on time, with help from the instructor as needed and a good amount of personal space so you don’t feel self-conscious while you’re experimenting.

  This class was fantastic! I was fortunate to work one on one with an instructor (whose name I'm totally blanking on right now -- sorry!) who was great! He listened to the kind of look I was interested in getting, gave clear instructions and demonstrations, let me give it a try, and then gave specific suggestions and encouragement to improve my skills. The Goldplaited space is so cute, and everyone is welcoming and friendly. I definitely plan to go back for another Dabble class or to get done up for a special occasion. Thank you, Goldplaited!

  I bought the curling class as a gift for a friend’s birthday. As she and I were on our way there, turns out-she knows how to curl her hair! She didn’t know how to make it stay and that was why she never attempts curling. The girls at goldplaited are awesome!   This class was awesome! I feel like I know a decent amount about hair products, but the instructor still taught me some new things about products to use to prep my hair for curling and to maintain the curl. I also thought I had a good base knowledge on how to curl my hair, but I realize I've been doing it wrong all along! There were so many different techniques that I learned across multiple types of tools (regular curling iron, curling wand, flat iron -- yes, it curls!, and a bubble wand). I got to practice on both my own tools, as well as the salons tools.   Another excellent class at Gold Plaited! I've also taken Braids 101 (loved it!). The stylists who teach are just so so patient for really hair inept people like myself. We had a good lecture about hair prep for curling hair, watched the stylists explain 4 different curling tools, and then got to try out all 4 tools for the remainder of the class while the stylists walked around to make sure we had everything under control. I left feeling a lot more confident about my hair curling skills.

  This was a really fun class! I signed up with a girlfriend, and it was BYOB. The class itself was really helpful because the studio went through different styles and tools for curling your hair. We got time at the end of class to practice with every kind of styling tool. They even had a station with lipsticks to try, which was a nice little bonus. I've recommended this class to a lot of people.

  The setting for the class was great - very open and friendly. The class set up was informative and the hands on portion was helpful. I could have used just a little more attention during the hands on portion when I was clearly struggling but I walked out of the class with the knowledge of how to use at least one of the tools.

  I am one of those girls that could never get a hold of curling hair. My curls would never stay for more than an hour and would just drop flat. I have tried curling irons, hot rollers, but nothing worked. So after numerous attempts I just gave up until I signed up for this class. I came by myself, however, I didn't feel awkward or intimidated. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. After an hour or so of theory we started practicing on our own. Becky was especially sweet. She recommended to switch to another type of curling iron that finally worked for my hair. I'm very excited to try their other classes.

  Secret tip: Come early(ish) and sit in the middle! The instructors try their best, but it is way harder to follow when you are siting on the side.

  Loved this class! Mal and Corinna and their staff are so warm and welcoming. They went over different types of curling irons and straighteners, some I hadn't even heard of before, and their studio is such a beautiful setting. I even got hands-on make-up tips for eyebrows and lips. Loved this class!

  I took this class with 2 girlfriends and we all LOVED it. I specifically wanted to learn to do waves/curls with my straightener--success! The instructor was really funny and also encouraged questions. After the demo, there were other stylists available to work with students 1-on-1. Best $20 I've spent in awhile!!

  I wish I had a class like this 10 years ago. Oh, the awkward hair days it would have saved me! I learned just the tricks I needed to create polished and beachy waves that looks SO much better than anything I could do before. This class will pay for itself a billion times over.

  Super great. Marisol was very patient and everyone was very understanding of what little skills you might bring to the table. I loved learning about all the different curling implements and trying them out to see which one worked best for you and which one was the easiest to use. They also included a lip and brow tutorial which was a great added bonus!

  I decided to try this class because I have had NO luck with curling my hair. I even bought an expensive Chi iron and did not know how to use it. Everyone was really nice and they showed all of us some great tips. I just stuck to the iron I brought so I could get tips on how to finally use it correctly. They had lots of irons to try out. I learns some good brow tips too! I would highly recommend this class and have already told a bunch of friends about it (some even know how to curl their hair well and still want to take it!). I will defiantly sign up for their other classes!

  The first half of the class two instructors demoed different types of curling irons and the last half was open to go to different stations to try the irons. I think this class is best for someone that doesn’t know what type of curling iron to use. I didn’t leave being an expert at curling hair but I did leave with a new iron!

  Having trouble curling my own hair. Was never really good at those things, to begin with. It just takes a little more effort on my part.

  The ladies at the salon are very helpful, fun, and great at teaching the basics and then some. We got to play around with different curling irons. I may sign up again, as I haven't been practicing!!!!

  My friend and I went to the curling iron class after work. We brought wine but they had champagne ready to serve and the shop was pretty and clean. The demos were great and after we could try out the different techniques, drink more wine and chat with the other ladies. I went back the following week to get a blowout before my friends wedding. Very quick and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back!

  Had a great time in Curling Iron class! I've been wanting to take a class like this for years so was really looking forward to it. The teachers demonstrated multiple types of irons then let us go to it while stepping in to help. I learned a ton and excited to use the tips I learned!

  I learned so much more than I expected to in this class! I didn't realize there are new curling irons on the market that literally do all the work for you. I bought a new curling iron there (heavily discounted) and I took it home and curled my entire head of hair in 10 minutes and it was so easy and fun! I love my new iron and the new techniques I learned. Great, great class.

  This class was great! I have never been able to get curls to stay without first dousing my hair in hairspray. You learn how to use several curling irons, then you get to practice on your own hair with the help of the staff. I learned how to use a straightener to curl my hair, and it lasts longer than 1 hour!!

  I really enjoyed the class because of the people who were teaching - clearly knowledgeable, but really accessible. The location was great and the glass of wine set a fun tone to the night! I was excited to learn how to work with three different "hot tools" (the barrel, flat iron and wand) but was disappointed that there weren't different "kinds" of curls taught. We only got two different ways to create a curl when we worked with the wand - but I've seen videos where there are up to six different kinds which can be created - even just with the barrel!

  I got some good tips, but I don't feel any better with my use of a curling iron. I think I need hours and hours of practice! The class was a little too crowded for the teachers to be able to help everyone.
