Kale is like the hot nerdy girl in a 90s movie who no one realizes is hot because she has glasses and a ponytail. But back in 2011, kale took off her glasses and healthy home cooking hasn't been the same since.
Kale is certainly having a moment, but all leafy greens deserve a good ogling. Packed with vitamins, calcium, iron, and cancer-fighting antioxidants, greens can regulate our digestion, keep us full, make our skin glow, and so much more. In this cooking class class, health and wellness chef Alia Dalal will show you how to easily transform leafy greens like kale, collard greens, cabbage, and spinach into easy, daily recipes from breakfast to lunch to even a sweet treat. We'll also cover some holistic nutrition basics and info on how to select, store, and clean leafy greens.

Alia will BYOG if you guys BYOB. This is a demo-based class, but if a couple of you want to get your hands dirty (after you get them clean first, of course), you can definitely participate.

Known for her energetic personality and flavorful dishes, she helps her clients transform their diets so they can live more vibrant and productive lives. Chef Alia speaks and teaches across the city at places like The Chopping Block and Whole Foods Market. She is also the host and creator of Nightcap, a late night show about the good food and beverage scene in Chicago.
This was a great class! You could tell that Alia really knew what she was talking about. I liked that the recipes were all really simple and easy to make at home, and Alia did a good job explaining how everything could be adjusted based on personal preference and what you have in your frig. I really liked how the two salads would be easy to take to work and keep for a few days.
