Event Overview

Chicago is an urban jungle. Plant life is everywhere from tree lined streets to wildflower gardens. In this workshop we will take a guided walk with our horticulturist around the Nature Museum Campus. Learn how to identify the local flora and determine what is native and what is introduced. Laura Saletta has been with the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for over five years. She started as a multi-departmental volunteer, and later became part of the staff as a public programs educator. Laura’s life-long love of all animals has led her to develop family workshops that highlight the joys of nature watching for beginners. Her hope is to inspire the casual observer to appreciate all wildlife.
