About This Class
Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe InDesign, the professional page layout standard, used by designers and production professionals to design, preflight, and publish a broad range of documents such as brochures, résumés, magazines, books, and more. InDesign allows you to design engaging and attention-grabbing visual documents. This class is designed to get you up and running with Adobe InDesign in one evening. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction along with insider tips and tricks on how to use the most important tools and concepts in InDesign.
By the end of the class, participants will have learned the basics in InDesign in order to create any type of visual document. They will learn how to create a new file, set up master pages, place and edit images and fonts, and package high-quality documents ready for print. They will also learn the basics of typography and page layout design.
- You will leave this InDesign workshop with the skills to design all types of visual documents, such as résumés, brochures, calendars, stationery, marketing collateral, presentation decks, newsletters, booklets, invitations, and more!
Prereqs & Preparation
This is an introductory course designed for first time and beginning InDesign users. No prior experience with InDesign is required for this class. All students must be able to bring a laptop to each class (Mac preferred). You will need to have Adobe InDesign version CS4 or higher already downloaded on this laptop for the start of class.
