Hanh Pham is an environmental artist whose work focuses on ways to engage the public to see the beauty and usefulness of what most call trash. At a young age, she was moved to take action around the mounting waste crisis in the world.
Hanh created a dress from 300+ granola bar wrappers that won eco fashion shows in Chicago and San Francisco. This was the seed that blossomed into Pretty Dirty, a performance series that catches people while they are attending a neighborhood festival and through light-hearted conversations inspire people to reduce and repurpose waste. Six Chicagoland neighborhoods have been graced by these playful, unexpected performances.
