Event Overview

Join Leelee from Leelee's Garden to create a totally unique project, a living, framed plant “painting."

In this pop-up workshop, you will learn how to collage with preserved moss, bark, real live air plants and other natural ingredients to make a framed plant “painting” vertical garden. Leelee will give you tips and 1:1 help as you go to create a moss art piece that will bring nature vibes into you home or office everyday.

You will have the option to create a living vertical garden by adding air plants or stick with preserved materials if you don’t want to water your creation (and it'll stay fresh for years). We will provide all materials, instruction and one-on-one help throughout the workshop.  Bring a friend, a date, or come solo.  Come create your own living work of art!

What a great class! Everyone in my group had such a great time and left with something they were happy with. Instruction was great and assistance was given when needed. Loved this, would recommend to everyone!

This was such a fun and sweet class! A great creative weekend activity that allowed us to just relax and get in the flow arranging moss and plants. This was a very unique project.

The class with Lily was super fun. It relieved my stress from the week and helped boost creativity. The only frame I liked was pretty small but it turned out well.

Leelee made it easy and fun to try something new. She explained the project in an approachable way and had an abundance of materials -- from glue to frames to a wide variety of plants and bark and lichen and moss -- on hand to set us up for success. Highly enjoyable. and nice people to boot.

Didn't really know what to expect going in because this class was super unique sounding, but it ended up being tons of fun! Leelee was really helpful and and kind, and so I think everyone's pieces turned out really well. It was great to be able to get creative and messy.

Leelee's "painting" workshop was everything I imagined! It was held at a local shop that I love in Logan Square and was very intimate. She was very helpful and I could tell that she was passionate at what she does. It was one of the best ways to spend Sunday afternoon. I'm so glad that I went!

Years ago a Dabble class for terrariums got me hooked on indoor gardening. This class was a great way to branch out to air plants. Everything needed to create a plant painting was supplied by the instructor. Many different options for color and texture were presented in frames, preserved moss, plants, lichen, twigs, pine cones, etc. The instructions were easy and everyone was able to create something different and take it home that night. Fun for those who like plants and greenery, and for those who don't have a green thumb (just leave the plants out and you still have something to hang on the wall or display on a table). A great way to spend an evening and try something a little different.
