Event Overview

You're dreaming big about your ideal life - who you want to be, what you want to do, where you want to go.  You have an amazing vision of what that looks like and then a voice pops into your head that says "You're not good/brave/smart/good-looking/dedicated enough to accomplish that."  And your dream disappears as quickly as a balloon accidentally released to the sky.

That voice is a liar.  You ARE enough.  You are AMAZING.

In this class we'll use journaling, visualization, and dancing to quiet that voice so you can be the strong, empowered, amazing person you are meant to be.

You'll leave feeling refreshed & more self-aware (physically & mentally) - plus you'll gain clarity on how to bring more positive feelings into your week and a plan to move you closer to making your dreams reality.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

It only took 3 failed meditation challenges, a handful of personal development workshops and a night of dancing it out to Carole King's Tapestry for Jen to realize 3 things:
1. Sometimes it's easier to clear the mind if you move the body
2. Accountability is no joke. It's easier to stay in the room and keep moving if other people are in the room with you
3. Journaling for personal growth is great - but processing those concepts through movement and putting them in your muscle memory is even better.

Since Jen is also a dance teacher, these discoveries naturally led to an idea for a class. Upon sharing these thoughts with some friends, she learned she wasn't the only person who wanted some Meditative Movement in her life and knew she had to find a way to start teaching it.

This was an interesting class that helped me to step out of my daily norm. I'd recommend it to someone who is looking to do just that.!

I was first drawn to this class by it's description. I identified with negative thinking and wanting to get out of my head with movement. From the description I thought there would be more guided dance, but you are free to move as much or as little as you want and make up your own moves. The beginning of class starts with journaling to get the stuff that's in your head out. From then you move onto relaxing meditation and from there is where you can move into movement. After the movement/dancing section it is back to journaling and closing the session. The instructor is nice, personable, and welcoming.
