Join Nola Nights and Lakeview Kitchen and Market as we share secrets for recreating Southern cuisine and explore new twists on traditional flavors. Our instructor will introduce you to a variety of uniquely Southern cooking techniques—from creating a creole gravy and cooking shrimp to perfection. You’ll enjoy working alongside classmates in a professional chef’s kitchen before indulging in your finished product during a family-style dinner! It wouldn't be a Southern meal without a cold beverage of your choice--don't forget to pick up your favorite bottle on your way into class! The menu for the night includes:

Joelle Brown is a Louisiana native who recently relocated to Chicago. Joelle inherited her culinary skills from her grandmother, aka “Momma T”, and began cooking at the age of 12. Many moons later, Joelle has perfected her skills as a home cook and competes in various culinary contests and challenges. Joelle has received an invitation to complete in the 2016 World Food Championship.
