Event Overview

You have learned the basics-now come put them to work! Ladies Who Lift Level 2 is for past Ladies Who Lift attendees who wish to put their new lifting skills and techniques to use in a 1 hour long strength training class.


Ladies Who Lift Level 2 offers the unique experience of an all female strength training class that utilizes barbells, dumbbells, squat racks, deadlift platforms, prowlers, and more (you won't be seeing any pink weights in here!) to strengthen and empower your body and mind. 


Come reconnect with the Ladies Who Lift community and get a killer workout. 

Prerequisites

-Ladies Who Lift Level 1 (LWL L1)
-If friends/family want to attended but have not come to LWL L1 please message me using the link below.
- All guests MUST complete the Ladies Who Lift Event Registration and Waiver Form in advance.

Rae Reichlin

Growing up a dancer Rae moved, learned, and worked hard with everyday. She loved using her mind and body in tandem and pushing them to their limits.

When Rae decided she did not want to pursue dance professionally, she had to find something to replace that feeling of working hard and getting tangible results. This is where she found fitness. Going to the gym quickly became her favorite activity, and she found herself jealous of all the trainers who got to stay there and help others accomplish their goals and learn about their bodies all day. So she decided to become one of those trainers herself, earning a personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Rae learned and took on all the she could, teaching pilates, bootcamp, and barre classes, all while building her clientele for personal training. She quickly learned that fitness and exercise was not a one size fits all model, and pursued a functional movement screen certification to aid her in individualizing her clients and breaking down what they need for their specific bodies.
Rae has worked with clients of all levels and fitness backgrounds, and loves to see each and every one come to meet their goals in their own way.

    I highly recommend this class for beginning and experienced lifters. I lift regularly and every time I attend Rae's class I learn more new things. Also being in a class with empowered ladies is really rewarding and encouraging.

    This was amazing. I left feeling so empowered and strong...not to mention very sore! Rae is a great teacher and really cares about this class and the people in it. Great for both experienced lifters and beginners, and such a warm and welcoming community!

    I absolutely loved this class. What a unique concept Rae has created and managed to roll out so smoothly and with style. The workout was challenging and satisfying and I left feeling uplifted and empowered by the other women in the class. I've been raving about this to anyone who will listen and can't wait for the next session. Rae is knowledgable, professional and clearly loves what she does for a living- not only that, but she's kind, warm and truly a pleasure to be around.

    If you're interested in weight lifting/resistance training but don't know where to start, I strongly recommend attending the "Ladies Who Lift" classes. The first class goes over best practices for form, the WHY behind lifting weights, and a great workout. LWL Level 2 went straight into another great workout. In both, Rae sets you up for long term success by focusing on good form and is available for any questions you have. Positive environment, great music, and...SNACKS! What else could you ask for?

    Rae is a top notch trainer, she is passionate and extremely educated. She genuinely cares about everyone in her class and pays close attention to each person. She is so motivating and by far the best trainer I've come across. I highly recommend going to any class she is the head of!

    I started taking classes at Crosstown Fitness and really enjoyed Raes classes and am always looking for something new and different ways to push myself. Great class great information she helped me with my form and pushes you to be at your best.

    Finally a group of great ladies who just want to get down to it and lift! Rae keeps it real, with no frills and challenging sets. She has done more than set up some workouts, she's started a little community of like minded ladies who are ready to be there best! Ladies Who Lift is a must if you want a positive environment to lift some heavy sh*t!

    The level 2 class was a great addition to the level 1 Ladies Who Lift. We got straight to business with the 7 different stations and received great feedback on form, etc. Always a great setting, and good to meet new people. Will definitely be back at another Ladies Who Lift Class!

    Ladies Who Lift Level 1 was so great, so I decided to try Level 2. Even better! Rae does a tremendous job at instructing, coaching and motivating. It's so great to be around like-minded women who are looking for a challenging workout.

    I've dabbled (oh, she's got jokes!) in various programs, studios, gyms throughout Chicago and can honestly say I've never felt more comfortable being "up in the gym just workin' on my fitness" than I have attending both Ladies Who Lift levels 1 and 2. Firstly, Rae is a machine with a real passion for bring women together and helping them feel empowered to embrace their physical (and emotional) strengths. Secondly, the other attendees were bada$$ bias. Everyone was supportive and free of judgement, which is not something so easily found among the SoulCycles of the world. I dug how in Level 2 Rae walked us through a variety of old school-looking gym contraptions—one's that I've usually come across but been too afraid to use out of fear of looking like it's amateur hour. All around stellar experience that went beyond just getting in and getting out for a workout. Plus, there's a photographer who walks around throughout snapping sick shots of you in Beast Mode. Legit. Hit.it.up. Byeeeee.

    Level 2 was just as great as level 1. A challenging workout for sure. I am definitely on the beginner end of fitness and Rae was such a great help giving me modifications for moves I'm not quite strong enough to do yet. Not to mention the fact you're surrounded by inspiring ladies who all want to kick ass.

    Ladies Who Lift Level 2 was great! It was a really good workout and a good step up from the level 1. Level 2 provided an environment for us to use what you have learned in level 1 and lift heavier. It is a safe and supportive environment of strong women! Rae has developed a great community with Ladies Who Lift!

    This was my first Ladies Who Lift Level 2 class and it honestly exceeded all my expectations, it was an amazing experience. I know plenty of people have said this, but it cannot be said enough, Rae is an incredible teacher. She has great energy, she's extremely helpful and encouraging and most importantly, no matter what your skill level is, she makes you feel like a badass. She also has an amazing photographer who comes in and takes awesome pictures, she stays in the background for the most part, but occasionally she cheered us on and asked how we were doing, which was very thoughtful. I also had the opportunity to work out with two other amazing ladies, they were very encouraging and pushed me to lift my heaviest, which I really appreciated. I'm a big fan of this class and of the community Rae has worked very hard to build. Can't wait for the next class!

    I signed up and showed up solo, not knowing exactly what to expect.
    The class included a variety of exercises with the focus on strength - without neglecting cardio and abs, a badass community of strong women, and an inclusive, supportive, knowledgeable instructor. The perfect class. DO IT. You won’t regret it!

    What a great Level 2 Ladies Who Lift Class! We were able to learn how to use several new machines today, and I was able to use the skills I've acquired in the past classes to add weight and perfect my form for the major lifts we've been doing (squats, dead lifts, bench press). I am looking forward to the next class in 2018!

    This was a great next step from LVL 1. It was a great workout, with still enough one to one attention if you needed to ask questions. Super positive and energetic vibe. Would absolutely do it again!

    Another great LWL Class this past Sunday. Rae always does a great job of laying out the class to where we are building upon previous classes, but giving us the ability to add new exercises that will compliment the muscles that we are working. She is always very hands on and willing to help you perfect your skills. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

    I went to Level 2 only a week after my first time in Level 1. I worked harder, made another new friend, and felt like $25 for a workout class this good is a great deal. Also, Rae is somehow magically right behind me whenever I'm confused or doing something wrong, so the number of people in the class is never an issue.

    This past weeks Level 2 class was awesome! Rae is constantly adding new exercises for us to try that compliment the main lifts that we are focusing on in class.     Every time I get the chance to attend Rae's classes I am amazed at what she has created! These are amazing and really helpful if you are looking for a great teacher; great support from others and a hard core workout you need to check out her classes.     This past weekend's LWL class was awesome! Rae added in a barbell complex to the workout at one of the stations, which I absolutely loved.     As always this class was amazing! The constant positivity and empowerment is something you can rarely find in another workout class. You can tell Rae genuinely cares about everyone progressing with their form and strength each class, and she never makes you feel uncomfortable or bad about yourself if you mess up. I wish I could go to this class every week! I always leave feeling stronger, more motivated and with a smile on my face.

    As always this class was amazing! The constant positivity and empowerment is something you can rarely find in another workout class. You can tell Rae genuinely cares about everyone progressing with their form and strength each class, and she never makes you feel uncomfortable or bad about yourself if you mess up. I wish I could go to this class every week! I always leave feeling stronger, more motivated and with a smile on my face.

    Rae is magically always around when I need her to give feedback on form. She walks everyone through an awesome workout and teaches really important weightlifting skills that we can all take back with us to the gym.

    I finally hit a small goal for squat and deadlift in this class and Rae was so super supportive and helpful when I started to get tired. My group mates were cheering me on from across the gym so that also helped. Love these ladies and this class!

    Level 2 gets right into the workout, but I still continue to walk away with a new exercise to try on my own, a correction on my form, or a new PR. The energy in the class is always uplifting and I'm always happy to see familiar faces and meet new people.     What a great class! This was my first Ladies Who Lift Level 2 class and just like Level 1, I was incredibly impressed with not only Rae but also all the other wonderful women I met at this event.     In the past, I’ve found the gym to be an overwhelming and intimidating experience. I didn’t know how to properly use the equipment and felt uncomfortable to be around the majority of men. LWL has provided a space for women to workout in a judgement free zone. I feel so strong and comfortable around these ladies. LWL has taught me how to use equipment and independently workout in a gym. I used to be afraid to lift heavy weights because I didn’t want to bulk up. Now, I’m continuously increasing my weights. I actually look more lean and tone than I’ve ever been before. LWL is the best!

Firstly, Rae is a machine with a real passion for bring women together and helping them feel empowered to embrace their physical (and emotional) strengths. Secondly, the other attendees were bada$$ bias. Everyone was supportive and free of judgement, which is not something so easily found among the SoulCycles of the world. I dug how in Level 2 Rae walked us through a variety of old school-looking gym contraptions—one's that I've usually come across but been too afraid to use out of fear of looking like it's amateur hour. All around stellar experience that went beyond just getting in and getting out for a workout. Plus, there's a photographer who walks around throughout snapping sick shots of you in Beast Mode. Legit. She has great energy, she's extremely helpful and encouraging and most importantly, no matter what your skill level is, she makes you feel like a badass. She also has an amazing photographer who comes in and takes awesome pictures, she stays in the background for the most part, but occasionally she cheered us on and asked how we were doing, which was very thoughtful. I also had the opportunity to work out with two other amazing ladies, they were very encouraging and pushed me to lift my heaviest, which I really appreciated. I didn’t know how to properly use the equipment and felt uncomfortable to be around the majority of men. LWL has provided a space for women to workout in a judgement free zone. I feel so strong and comfortable around these ladies. LWL has taught me how to use equipment and independently workout in a gym. I used to be afraid to lift heavy weights because I didn’t want to bulk up. Now, I’m continuously increasing my weights. I actually look more lean and tone than I’ve ever been before.
