It is undisputed that the best way to lose weight, build lean muscle, and boost your metabolism is to lift weights. Unfortunately, most women shy away from lifting weights due to the (untrue!) belief that it will make them "too bulky". "Ladies Who Lift" guarantees to debunk even the scariest of myths or fears one might have about weight lifting. Come join this all female strength-training workout and learn to lift in a way that will promise to lean and strengthen your body- putting you on the right track to reach your goals whether they be strength, aesthetic, health, or performance based!
Class will include a lifting workshop where we will breakdown essential movements, followed by a calorie-blasting workout filled with squats, deadlifts, bench presses, kettlebell swings, and more.
The class seeks to leave attendees not only with a better knowledge of strength training and the self-confidence to weight lift, but also to build a new community of strong, inspired women like yourself.
All ages welcome
All guests MUST complete the Ladies Who Lift Event Registration and Waiver Form in advance of their scheduled class.

Growing up a dancer Rae moved, learned, and worked hard with everyday. She loved using her mind and body in tandem and pushing them to their limits.
When Rae decided she did not want to pursue dance professionally, she had to find something to replace that feeling of working hard and getting tangible results. This is where she found fitness. Going to the gym quickly became her favorite activity, and she found herself jealous of all the trainers who got to stay there and help others accomplish their goals and learn about their bodies all day. So she decided to become one of those trainers herself, earning a personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Rae learned all took on all the she could, teaching pilates, bootcamp, and barre classes, all while building her clientele for personal training. She quickly learned that fitness and exercise was not a one size fits all model, and pursued a functional movement screen certification to aid her in individualizing her clients and breaking down what they need for their specific bodies.
Rae has worked with clients of all levels and fitness backgrounds, and loves to see each and every one come to meet their goals in their own way.

I was so excited to take this Level One class and it did not disappoint! Rae definitely knows her stuff and was inspiring to work out with. Her assistants were also very helpful too! There's not much better than working out around a group of ladies who are all there for the same purpose. Strongly recommend!!

Rae and her assistants are very friendly, helpful and most of all, patient. I am brand spanking new to lifting so it was the perfect environment to get the absolute basics so you can be safe and prevent injuries. I would recommend this to any ladies who want to learn about lifting from some strong women!

First, I really enjoyed that this class was female only. This made for an extremely affirming environment (I'm talking getting a round of applause after a set of squats). Second, the instructor was really clear at exemplifying the movements, but also at giving feedback and notes for improvement. Lastly, I was sore for two days after this class thus demonstrating that it was a great workout if nothing else. Definitely recommend!

This is a great class for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of lifting weights and not feeling intimidated at the gym. Rae has a great energy, extensive knowledge and a passion for sharing it with other ladies. This class is informative, supportive and lots of fun.

This was an awesome class! The vibe was so empowering and positive - both from the instructors and from the other gals participating. Rae was a great teacher when it comes to form and tips/tricks to help you do the lifts correctly. Would highly recommend to any other ladies who are new to lifting and intimidated by hitting the weight room for the first time.

Great experience! I entered completely ignorant of strength training and lifting; I left feeling confident that I could create a basic strength training routine on my own - and would have a community of support if I wanted one. I highly recommend! I should mention that I'm almost 56 and worked out side-by-side with Ladies of various ages - never feeling out-of-place, pressured, or judged.

I have to admit. I have never set foot in a gym, but Rae and her awesome ladies made me feel normal in what otherwise would have been an alien experience. I left feeling accomplished, which is a lot for me! And I would definitely recommend this class to any newbie who just wants to know what to do with weights at a gym. Ladies, I promise I'll be practicing my squats after this!

I have a 19 month old, and haven’t been to the gym since the end of my pregnancy. I signed up for LWL, feeling very worried that I was too out of shape to keep up, and that I would end up embarrassed or not being able to keep up. The class was great, motivational, and taught me the skills and confidence I need to get back to working out. The class itself isn’t about who has the most strength or stamina, it’s entirely about having proper form and working out in a way that works for you. Although I certainly broke a sweat at the end, especially when we did the circuit exercises, I actually really enjoyed myself and never felt judged or overwhelmed. It wasn’t about who did the most or the best, it was entirely about supporting each other to do what we could do. I would recommend this to anyone who isn’t sure, it is definitely worth it.

I had a blast at my first Ladies Who Lift experience. Rae is incredibly knowledgeable and really breaks down the weightlifting foundations. Over the past couple of months I had been lifting weights with my guy friends but they were not very helpful with watching my form. I knew I needed to get into level 1 of LWL to learn more about proper technique before I possibly hurt myself in the gym. They gave me very helpful tips on my form for deadlifts and I left the workshop feeling like I knew what to look for on my own. I also really liked that we went over breathing technique at the very beginning. That was an incredible tip that I will take with me. The circuit workout in the second half was also super fun! I look forward to doing some level 2 classes in the future. Thanks Rae!

This was a great intro to lifting and form. The class was educational, a hard workout and fun! Rae made it so much less intimidating to use the equipment and helped us help ourselves (and each other!) by pointing out specific ways to improve our form! Can’t wait for LWL II! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I love working out but felt stagnant in my routine. I wanted to learn more techniques I could take to the gym myself to switch things up. Rae was very informative and made the class fun. I felt great after the class and look forward to taking more. Whether you have been an athlete your whole life or just getting into it this is a great class to take to make sure you have the correct form and breathing techniques!

I started lifting on my own but took this class because I know my form wasn't on point and also had some fear around deadlifts, squats and bench presses. Now I feel way more confident to take these on in my gym but also want to take Ladies Who Lift II classes from time to time.

Rae is a great teacher and coach! She provided really helpful instruction before each exercise, demo-ed the exercise, and provided an eye and adjustments or encouragement as needed when it was our turn to try things out. The modification tips really made each exercise seem approachable for wherever we were at, which was awesome. Rae kept the class really active and encouraged us all to introduce and support each other--the class felt really productive and positive!

As someone who regularly attends workout classes I was excited to get to know more about lifting. I wanted to learn more about form and how I can continue to workout on my own without getting hurt. I walked away from this class achieving that goal and I am excited to use these tips moving forward in my workouts.

I enjoyed the opportunity to go to a weight lifting class that focused on technique and was only women. It was a positive experience of working together to figure out technique and then to get in a workout.

I've worked out with dumbbells and kettlebells before but was a complete newbie at squatting, deadlifts, and bench presses - Rae creates an awesome environment to learn in, without fear of judgment. I received great pointers on my form and am excited to put what I learned to use in my workouts!

Amazing level one strength training with Rae. I knew Rae was excellent from my classes with her at CTF but today I was so impressed by her knowledge of strength conditioning. I learned things I didn't know and I love being able to do weight training that you aren't typically able to do in a HIIT class setting. Already signed up for level 2 next week. I definitely recommend this for someone that wants to know more about strength training. She goes over the basics extremely well.

I expected to learn something cool in this class, but I didn't expect that it would be so much fun. The class size is large, but it's also very inclusive and you get plenty of one-on-one tips. After it's over you really feel very accomplished, very confident, and very welcome in the Ladies Who Lift community that Rae created!

LWL Level 1 was a hand's on class that was accessible, empowering and challenging for all levels. Rae offered thorough demonstration of the movements and the classmates offered lots of camaraderie. Leaving the class made me more prepared for using barbell weights on mine in the gym and I look forward to coming back for a Level 2. Don't fear this class or the weight room - it's FUN!

Great workshop and great environment to work out! Rae broke up the group into smaller sections, which was very helpful and made it easier to navigate through each circuit. It's a great community, everyone was eager to learn and everyone helped each other out. Would recommend to anyone and can't wait to try out level 2!

Great class, Rae is a fantastic trainer! Even though I had lifted in the past, I felt that Rae provided us excellent training on our form. Other than being a bit sore the next day, I was sore in all the right places, not my knees or my back. The comradery amongst the ladies made the class extra special. Loved it and can't wait for LWL II!

Excellent class, awesome teacher! Rae did a fantastic job explaining and showing us proper technique for lifting. She and the other women in the class were positive, friendly, and motivating. Would definitely recommend and look forward to taking the level 2 class.

This was a really great introductory and/or refresher class! Rae did a great job of breaking it down and keeping it real; she facilitated a great class!!! The workout itself was great, my legs are sore! I will be back to LWL2 soon!!!

Rae is a true Gem. I found her on IG and I dabble this was the fourth class that I've found here so it's definitely a win-win. All the information that she gave about form and breathing through the lifts will have us all lifting weights Tuesday. I think we'll all be sore tomorrow because we put her instructions into effect. I typically stay away from the "weights" in the gym but this class gave me the confidence to at least do the things that we did in class. I realized how much I missed lifting and being in this class with woman who was not as knowledgeable was amazing. We lifted each other up and made sure each person in our group had the correct form. Loved it!

I was so excited to take Rae's class because I've always wanted to do weightlifting but didn't want dudes to show me. I didn't know anyone who would be able teach me how to do it safely until I heard about Rae! She was so patient and kind and motivating. It was literally the best work-out experience I've had. More spaces for (self-identified) ladies to work out!

Ladies who Lift is a fantastic class. Rae really breaks down lifting techniques in an accessible manner, and she makes the space comfortable and informative. Rae was an inspiration. I have over a year of strength training experience, but have gotten out of the habit over the last few months. Great class! Rae is very knowledgeable and makes the class a lot of fun! I'm a slightly experienced lifter but I decided to take this class to make sure my form is correct and I'm being safe and to learn something new. There were women of all different skill levels there. Everyone was very encouraging and positive. It was a really great atmosphere and perfect for anyone that wants to get into lifting or wants to get a great workout in with a great group of women. Rae also helped me lift a lot more on my dead lift than I had been doing on my own which was awesome! I definitely recommend this class to all the ladies that would be interested.

Rae’s rave reviews were well deserved! I workout regularly, but I have been interested in learning more about lifting. This class was a great start! Afterwards, she had stations set up with different activities (which I LOVED!), due to the variety of them all -- we even got to work outside doing tire rolls! A great experience & an AWESOME teacher! I would highly recommend, especially for any female who has fears or concerns about weight lifting! I am a CrossFitter, who was looking to refine some skills & it was a great class! I love getting other females involved in lifting & blowing all those silly stereotypes out of the water! Ladies, sign up!

I had a great time and the women at this class were all very supportive of each other. I admire Rae as both a coach and businesswoman and appreciate her energy and fun, kind spirit. Great environment to practice and learn good form and exercises. Rae's speech at the beginning about LWL and why women should weightlift was fantastic. Loved the goodies we were sent home with as well.

Great environment to practice and learn good form and exercises. Rae's speech at the beginning about LWL and why women should weightlift was fantastic. Loved the goodies we were sent home with as well.

Rae is an amazing teacher and coach. All of the movements were explained clearly, and modifications were always offered. She also made sure to check up on everyone as we were working out, and encouraged everyone along the way! This class is a blast. Strong, bad-ass babes cheering one another on, and her playlists are on point!

Ladies Who Lift Level I was an INCREDIBLE class! I feel much more confident doing lifts knowing the proper form and technique. The class was full of badass women supporting each other and rooting each other on! It was incredibly empowering and I cannot wait for Level II!

This was a great class! Rae was very knowledgeable, and I left leaving the class with a deeper understanding of proper lifting technique. Although I have lifted before, this was a welcoming environment where everyone was supportive and helpful to each other. Definitely will be taking another class and recommending to friends!

My friends and I went for Rae's level 1 class. We loved it. The class is very informative and even if you are a lifter, it helps you re-learn and get better. The workout is a lot of fun and Rae is a phenomenal instructor. Rae has a vision to get together women who might be intimidated by lifting weights to learn and defy myths. The class was awesome. I was looking forward to doing the workout one day using the tires =). Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the workout. The instructor Rae was awesome making sure our form was good and giving great tips on strength training. I definitely recommend checking out the class!

This was a great refresher course for me, as I haven't really been lifting in a couple of years. Both instructor and fellow participants were supportive, encouraging, and provided insightful feedback on my form. The equipment/space at Rockwell Barbell was top-notch. Overall, it was a great experience.

The class was very large. I didn’t feel like I got enough one on one time to understand the forms. It was also very fast paced. The workout at the end was rushed and I didn’t get to see the moves being demonstrated (because of the large class size. It’s a small gym) so I just couldn’t do a lot of it. I really love the idea of this, maybe it was an off day?
