Event Overview

If you are new to jewelry making, this class is for you! We will cover the basics in stringing and wire working skills. You will make 2 bracelets and a pair of earrings or a necklace, bracelet and earrings.

You will have the freedom to make jewelry you like with any of the slected material that will availabe. You will have 30-35 min to choose your beads & materials, we will then have 2 hrs to make your design and bring it to life.

Minimum age

15 years or older

Parent or guardian required if under 18

What's Provided

Students will have a great selection of beads, pendants, clasps and other great components. The selection is from Alex's private collection, which have been acquired from his travels, meeting artists, international trade shows and having a great working relation with local suppliers.

I truly enjoy making jewelry, using pearls, semi-precious beads, mixing metals, fabrics,
and other alternative materials. I am not afraid to play with texture and making unusual
combinations look great!

The name Monsieur Pamplemousse, means Mr. Grapefruit in French. Grapefruit is
my favorite fruit, so when eating one in French class the name was given to me by my
teacher and classmates. So I named my jewelry line after my French class-given name.

My sister and I had the best time at our Jewelry Making Bootcamp class. Alex is a creative and super talented jewelry designer who shared his passion and techniques with us. The music and vibe of the studio was both calming and energizing. We each made three unique custom pieces that turned out beautifully!

I signed up for the class and couldn't make it last minute due to a family emergency. I rescheduled to come to the next class and didn't realized it had gotten canceled so I showed up. Alex was really nice about the situation and did the class on the spot with me one on one. He's very friendly and easy to talk to and the jewelry making was really fun and enjoyable. I would definitely go back.

As someone who had zero jewelry-making experience before this class, I think this was a perfect introduction to three basic techniques. Alex was very warm and friendly, and he and Leo have created a space that welcomes everyone as family. Alex was great at giving us instruction but also leaving us the time and space to work independently, while remaining accessible if we had questions. In just two and a half hours, I made a beautiful necklace, bracelet and earrings (from Alex's incredible bead selection), and I left there feeling accomplished, creative and ready to start a new hobby! I will definitely be back for more classes with Alex.

I give Alex and the Jewelry Making Bootcamp class TEN STARS! This was the very first class I took through Dabble and I could not have been more happy or satisfied with the class. Alex taught me how to make a necklace, bracelet and earrings in three hours and he taught me numerous jewelry-making techniques. I was blown away with the quality of the jewelry I made and I will now be able to make jewelry on my own. I highly recommend this class. I also recommend visiting L&A Healing Studio if you are looking for unique gifts, jewelry and clothing. I felt very relaxed and happy during my three hours in the store. Alex and all of his clients are amazing people. Thanks, Alex!!

I LOVED THIS CLASS!
I'm not a very creative person nor do I wear a lot of jewelry...but this class was so much fun. I learned basic techniques for jewelry making. I made two bracelets and a pair of earrings. And I love all of it! Our teacher, Alex, was so great. He's incredibly patient and so welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

The class was amazing. I made a beautiful piece of beautiful jewelry. More importantly I met 2 very creative artists. This shop should be a destination for locals and tourists. The jewelry and artwork available for purchase is truly unique to Chicago.

This was my first jewelry making class, and I truly enjoyed it! Alex is a wonderful teacher for a beginner. He explained all of the tools and processes in great detail. The environment is very warm and inviting, which made it easier to let go and create. Alex provided a wide range of beads and clasps to choose from, and I also found the prices extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this class and look forward to learning more!
