WOW your holiday guests with handmade napkins and macrame napkin rings!

Amy from Amy Zwikel Studio is partnering up with Leigh from Indigo & Violet Studio to offer a truly unique workshop experience. We will start by stamping cotton napkins using real leaves and fall foliage. While our napkins are drying, Amy will teach everyone several essential macrame knots in order to craft four macrame napkin rings. You will leave the workshop with four fully completed macrame napkin rings and printed napkins ready to use for your next festive gathering!

This workshop is perfect for anyone looking for a unique, fun and creative experience. No prior macrame or painting experience is required. Grab a friend and join us!

Included with every ticket (hint - it's everything but the wine):

All-natural, high-quality macrame materials to create a set of 4 napkin rings

Set of four white cotton napkins to stamp designs onto

Leaves, fall foliage, and fabric paint used to stamp your own unique designs

Hands-on demonstrations and guidance throughout the class

You're welcome to bring a bottle of wine or bubbly to enjoy during this BYOB workshop. Glasses and corkscrews will be provided.

Amy Zwikel

Amy Zwikel is a Chicago based artist who's mission is to cultivate her creative skills through material exploration and experimentation in order to provide unique, macrame focused artwork and experiences for the modern free spirit.

Amy was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, but loves to travel and experience the globes's vast cultural landscape. She currently lives in Chicago's charming Roscoe Village neighborhood.

Amy earned her BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2007 and went on to become an Art Director at a midsize Chicago marketing agency. Continuing to broaden her artistic reach, Amy earned an MAT in Art Education from Columbia College Chicago in 2011. Amy is in her 6th year teaching drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, digital photography and graphic design at a nearby high school.

I had a lot of fun in this class! Amy was well-organized, and her method of showing us how to tie the knots and then observing and providing feedback while we tried on our own worked well. We all finished our plant hangers in the two hour allotted time for the class, and I really appreciated having a final product to take home.

I really enjoyed Amy's macrame plant hanger making class. She walked through each of the knots with us and was even kind enough to offer us wine. She welcomed us into her home and gave us the tools necessary to create a gorgeous plant hanger. I highly recommend taking any of her classes!

This was a GREAT class! I have taken several classes through Dabble and this was one of the best. Amy was a great teacher and the environment she creates in her studio is lovely. She thoroughly explained each step and made sure to give individual attention to every student. It was a great balance of learning and fun! I'm excited to display the plant hanging I made and can't wait to try out additional macrame projects in the future.

Such a great class! It was just the right balance of learning and doing and you get to take away something really unique and wonderful for your home. The teacher is super nice and very helpful.

Absolutely LOVED this class. Amy was a wonderful teacher, super patient, and just really fun to learn from. My friend and I hit unusually heavy traffic and were unfortunately 30 minutes late. Amy did a great job of bringing us up to speed quickly while still engaging our other classmates. I was surprised how easy macrame is- just like making a big friendship bracelet! Was excited to learn this skill and can't wait to try it again.

Amy was a delightful teacher, her instructions were simple, she helped when we were struggling and was prepared with set up, beads, and even a light snack/water! I highly recommend this class!
