Arts & DIY
More and more people I meet express the desire to create their own Macrame Headboard or Large Wall Hanging, so I am giving you that very opportunity! This class is great for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Completed size is 3' wide by 3-4' long and is perfect for a headboard or large wall hanging.
Macrame is a fiber art created by knotting rope into unique, interesting patterns and designs. Overall, you will learn the basics of Macrame, craftsmanship, patience and creativity. Your macrame hanging is all yours and will be completely ready for you to take home at the end of the workshop.
I will provide only the highest quality, all natural materials for you to use as well as demonstrate and teach you a variety of knotting techniques. You will decide to either use my design and pattern or else create your own unique piece.
You will learn several strategies for designing and creating a successful large piece and all the necessary tools to accomplish your own design. I will be there leading group demonstrations, individual demonstrations, questions, answers and advice to guide you through this process from beginning to completion. If you still choose to use my design and pattern, that is perfect too!
Please note: We will create on a large wooden dowel without rings.
