Event Overview

In this relaxing class we will be using a photograph (of you or generic) in a Silhouette style on scratchboard. We will add a message or quote to the background to enhance your image. Scratchboard is a neat material; a layer of white porcelain dust is covered with a layer of black ink. Using a scratch tool, the ink is scraped away to reveal the white underneath.

No artistic ability is required, we will be tracing! If you have a photo or a copy of a photo you would like to work with, please bring it in! Photographs work best when the edges are detailed enough to cut out and still read what the person is doing. You can always send me your options and we can choose the best one.

I will have plenty of images here to work with as well as quotes!
The finished product will be 5x7 and come with an 8x10 mat for easy framing.
BYOB.

Suitable for age 8 and up with a parent participant.

We had a lovely time on Mother's Day! We learned new techniques, we were given the freedom to make our pieces original, but Katie was great at teaching, guiding, and offering suggestions. Her studio was welcoming and a great place to be creative. Will definitely be looking for other classes that she instructs!
