Whether you're an aspiring comedian, the best man at a wedding or an executive preparing for a presentation, joke writing is an important tool that can spell the difference between an engaged audience or one that's too busy playing Angry Birds to listen.
This class will teach Dabblers the essentials of joke writing, from set-up to punchline to tags. We'll also touch upon how emotion plays an essential role in the delivery of the joke, and we'll take a closer look at exactly why people laugh at what they laugh at to better understand where humor comes from.
As part of the class, students will get a chance to craft their own two-line jokes inspired directly from the day's headlines.
