Event Overview

This class is recommended for Dabblers who have already taken Comedy Writing 101: The Basics of Joke Writing or for those with past comedy writing experience. (Currently, Comedy Writing 101 is being offered on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.)

So you have the basics of joke writing down. You know what a set-up is. You've got a handle on punchlines. Everywhere you look, you see opportunities to mine comedic gold. But writing is a solitary art, and you're not quite sure if the jokes you're crafting are primed for maximum laughter.

Well, now you can get that feedback you crave!

This highly interactive class builds upon the principles and tools taught in Comedy Writing 101: The Basics of Joke Writing by providing Dabblers with a workshop environment to generate and test joke material. The lab is a supportive environment developed to provide peer-to-peer constructive critique facilitated by an experienced instructor. This is one class where we aren't just laughing with you, we're laughing at you.
