Figure Drawing Workshop
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
The final figure drawing session at ChiPRC will focus on the most difficult and complex aspects of the human anatomy: the hands and feet. This is your chance to study the details that make these appendages so challenging to draw.
Our expert model will give us short poses, medium poses, and long poses. The poses gradually double in length, beginning with quick gesture poses and culminating in 20-minute poses. You will have the opportunity to create numerous life drawings. The long poses will specifically highlight the hands and feet.
Bring your own paper and drawing tools and arrive a few minutes early to set up. You can use the traditional graphite, charcoal or conte crayon…. Or think outside the box: pens, markers, colored pencils, etc. All styles and skill levels are welcome! The most inspiring thing about these sessions is seeing how other people draw the figure…. You might just walk away from the session with new ideas about how to draw!
All ages welcome

Dean Johnson has been operating his art studio since 2006. His favorite subject to draw and paint is the human form. There are hardly any images in his portfolio that don't feature prominent human figures.
Dean's figure drawing sessions at ChiPRC have been in existence since summer of 2013, and they evolved out of earlier private sessions organized by Dean's figure drawing club. Because it was a grassroots project, these sessions were designed from the beginning to meet the needs of real artists.
