Join the team of Swoon Living for an evening of glass blowing and experience the movement and wonder of molting hot glass with your own two hands. Work with our skilled instructors to create your very own glass sculptures or blown objects. Perfect for a unique night out or a fun outing with friends and family.
Not seeing a date or time that works? Reach out using the "Message Teacher" button below or Request a Private Event.
Class begins with a tour of the glass studio highlighting the different tools and equipment, followed by a short demonstration of the steps you will take to create your very own sculpture with all the tips and tricks to having fun and staying safe. Let your inner artist choose to create a paperweight, glass flower, small bowl or festive pumpkin. Pick from the array of vibrant glass colors to add to your unique piece. Then each guest will have the delightfully guided one on one experience of sitting at the bench and making their masterpiece.
After you have your fun in the hot seat, enjoy an exclusive demo of our hand blown glass production line along with a brief description of our custom product lines to help you understand the full potential of what glass blowing offers.
Located west of Wicker Park, street parking is available. Please note all glass pieces have to be slowly cooled in the kiln and will be ready for pick up two days after the class at the Swoon Living studio in Logan Square.
Be sure to wear cotton clothing and close-toed shoes.
All ages welcome
You'll need to return to pick up your project two days later or pay for shipping (~$10) before leaving your experience.
Swoon Living will provide all glassblowing tools and materials.
Dabble me this, Dabble me that what can be learned from Paddy Fitz Pat? All sorts of neat little crafty tid bits will be shared. With the power of the plastic cards many cool and unique pieces of equipment have been purchased and now all we need is an audience to teach. So leave the kids at home, put on your safety goggles and let's get messy. If you don't get any on you then you're just not having any fun.
(Always keep hair tied back and no loose fitting clothes or open toed shoes.)
