In the third part of this class you will be introduced to basic color theory, have a chance to explore different types of watercolor paper, learn how to stretch paper, and experiment with additional ways to manipulate paint. You will then have the opportunity to create your own unique painting working abstractly or from a still life. Upon completion of this class you will be well-equipped to continue painting on your own! Class is limited to 7 students in order to maximize individual attention.

Boris Ostrerov earned an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013. While in school, he learned to paint and draw both representationally and abstractly with various mediums. In the last three years he has taught art classes to beginners. He creates a comfortable environment and uses his ability to clearly and enthusiastically articulate and demonstrate approaches and techniques to painting and drawing. He believes art is a rewarding hobby and that everyone has the potential to improve their artistic skills and exercise their creativity through visual art.
Ostrerov has exhibited his work in Chicago and New York including showing at Paris London Hong Kong (PLHK), Lubov, Tory Folliard, and the Portrait Society in Milwaukee. He has been featured in several publications including New American Paintings #119.
