Learn how to design, build, and care for terrariums with Laura Mae, our talented in-house terrarium designer here at Cultivate Urban Rainforest. Go home with a terrarium you made yourself, new knowledge and insight, and possibly a favorite new hobby! All materials are provided.

You'll learn:
-How to select a container and plants that will thrive with your lifestyle in the space you'll keep it in at home
-How to select and assemble substrate and plants so they will look good and grow well
-Some design principles so your mini green world looks awesome
-How to care for your terrarium

No experience necessary; join us for a fun, educational afternoon in the rainforest!

We provide all materials for your to build a fabulous mossy, ferny terrarium: glass, substrate, soil, plants, and decorative pieces

She can be seen making paintings, terrariums, photography, and designing accessories and even shoes. The spirit of her creativity is the same across all mediums. She holds a BFA from RISD, she teaches Fashion Illustration at SAIC, designs terrariums for Cultivate Urban Rainforest, and of course teaches workshops and classes around Chicagoland.
