This hands-on creative DIY workshop will teach you how to make a soy-wax candle from a recycled wine bottle. After this experience, you'll leave with a candle that YOU made and if you want, you'll be ready to take on Yankee Candle and Anthropologie with some practice. You’ll learn how to make your own candle by scoring glass, safely splitting a wine bottle, placing the wick, pouring wax.
Please bring an empty wine bottle from home with a low label. Nothing that is a keepsake though as the bottle breaking process can be finicky! Feel free to BYOB.
All ages welcome
We will provide wicks, wax and a fun experience! A few backup wine bottles will be on hand for anyone that forgets or breaks their bottle during the process.
Jemal is the CEO/Chief Dabbler of Dabble. He is an aspiring ultra-runner, fiddler & an all-around jack-of-all-trades - including candle making, terrariums, and throwing knives! Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Jemal loves exploring his new city - Denver.
Jemal was so helpful and knowledgable while instructing our class. He was professional, prepared, and on time with the event. He is a charismatic teacher and engaging and is on brand with our company! We have hosted him in our space 2x and we plan to continue using his services. He has great recommendations and also is extremely responsive. He was easy to book with and has so many connections throughout the city it's amazing! I would recommend the DIY candle making event because it is easy with instructions, a fun way to socialize in a group setting, and the end product is unique.
