In this class we will get you started on learning the skills for knitting your first project and learning to read basic knitting patterns.
We will also discuss gauge and yarn/needle sizes.
This class is focused on exploring and learning techniques NOT on having a finished product.
What to Bring
1 ball worsted weight yarn, 1 pair size 7 needles (wood is best)

With 10 years experience in corporate and small business apparel, fashion designer Anna Hovet is one of most recognized names in Chicago fashion. Anna earned her BFA from SAIC (where she now teaches). After graduating, she worked for a large corporate company, Kids Headquarters, where she designed layette for Ecko, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, and Target. In 2009 she founded Anna Hovet Designs, an athleisure fashion line manufactured in Chicago and sold around the world. Anna also teaches fashion illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
