Event Overview
Do you have a home sewing machine that you never use? Don't know how to work it? Come in and we'll show you! This 2-hour lesson will focus on sewing machine and tool basics. Bring your own machine in or use one of ours.
What to Bring
Students are welcome to bring in their own sewing machine and any other supplies they would like to practice with (scissors, rulers, thread, etc)
Minimum age
All ages welcome
What's Provided
We will provide basic sewing equipment: scissors, thread, rulers, iron, etc.

With 10 years experience in corporate and small business apparel, fashion designer Anna Hovet is one of most recognized names in Chicago fashion. Anna earned her BFA from SAIC (where she now teaches). After graduating, she worked for a large corporate company, Kids Headquarters, where she designed layette for Ecko, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, and Target. In 2009 she founded Anna Hovet Designs, an athleisure fashion line manufactured in Chicago and sold around the world. Anna also teaches fashion illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
