A fun experience, techno yoga in the dark - I wish more of these were offered for a change of pace! Some parts of the class were more open flow, so you could do your own thing - great for some people, but personally I like more structured yoga classes as I'm not that experienced and don't want to do something incorrectly.

I really liked everything about this class!
The space was calming right off the bat and everyone there was super friendly. They handed out glow sticks and bracelets to us which was fun. The teacher was great! She did a few sequences with us and then turned out the lights and let us do our thing! We could repeat the same sequences, make any changes to it, or even just dance if we wanted. Whatever felt right to you! I could see how some people may be a little intimidated if they didn't know this ahead of time, but it really is a no judgment space! Do whatever you want! I was surprised that I got such a good work out when left to my own devices. I guess yoga with techno in the dark will do that to you :) I would absolutely recommend this class and plan to go back myself!

It was different! We still moved pretty slow, even with the techno music- I didn't necessarily mind, but that wasn't what I was expecting. The picture makes it look like you'll be in a room with black lights- either they weren't using black lights, or they were just extremely weak, because no ones light clothing was glowing. They did give us all glow bracelets and turn the light down super low, which was kind of fun. Towards the end of class, we could 'do whatever we wanted' meaning we could do other yoga poses or just dance. I felt slightly awkward and wished we had more structure, but that's just me- others may like that sort of freedom

It was IN.CRED.I.BLE. This class was everything I needed. I been going through some stuff. It's just hard. I wrote down some quotes and taped them on my mirror when I got home. This class was just as inspiring as it was FUN. Great music. Great movement. Great ME! :)

I had a blast at techno yoga. The Rooted group is a great bunch after my own heart. This is the most comfortable place you will ever be--snacks, glow sticks, writing on the walls. Techno yoga is all about being free and loose. I loved the aspect of trying to feel emotions as opposed to "zen-ing" out. The class is very free in that the instructor guides you through a sample sequence and you are free to do whatever poses you want or stick with that same sequence. I would have liked a little more guided instruction--particularly in turning yoga poses into dances. But I made it up on my own and had a blast too.
