Meditation is one of the more powerful ways to increase our self-awareness and create greater freedom in our actions and choices. In this class, we talk about meditation's role in our daily life and have the opportunity to practice many different types of meditation so participants can try out several different forms.
Since the class uses selections from several different traditions, participants will be able to try different methods to see which works best for them.

The basics are covered each time and different meditations are covered based on the day listed above.

With over 15 years of experience in adult education, Filtod Walker is a master teacher whose courses and individual workshops focus on educational leadership, new teacher training, communication, presentation, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence skills. He has been a Vipassana (Insight) meditation practitioner since 1997 and is a secular teacher.
Filtod has spoken at conferences on mindfulness, emotional intelligence, stress management, cognitive distortions, instructional design, employee/volunteer correction, understanding cultural awareness, and learned helplessness.
