Event Overview

SPORTS FANS! We're celebrating the success of certain local bat swinging sports team with a new wood turning class - THE HOME-MADE BAT

Spend an afternoon at the MAKE! Workshop hand-turning your very own (commemorative) baseball bat!*

Then grab a wood burning kit and personalize it with your names, scrimshaw, or the logo of your favorite team!

This is a great class for a group of friends or family to commemorate a milestone together - bachelor / bachelorette party, seeing a friend off on a new job, kids off to college, RECENT LOCAL TEAM VICTORY, etc.

So grab your fellow sports fan(s) and join us for HOME MADE BAT!

*Our lawyers make us say this: Using a bat you made yourself to actually play baseball is inherently risky. So, we can't tell you to actually play ball with your bat.  Think of it as a sort of self-made souvenir. Something you can personalize to commemorate a special moment in your life, point to the wall and say "I made that!".

The class fee includes a proper ash wood bat-blank and all other materials.

This was a very informative hands on class. Super fun! The instructor was very knowledgable and it was awesome to make an actual object. I had a lot of questions because he does go over a lot before we get started but he was really patient and helped me out. Definitely wear clothes to get messy in and I would do this again any day.
