Meditation is more than just sitting silently. It is a means for training the mind, connecting with our own inner power and peace so that can make a difference in our selves, others, our communities and our world.
No time, nowhere to do it, can't sit still... these are the most common obstacles we busy city-dwellers face when trying to establish some kind of consistent practice. We don't need more hours in the day, total silence, or even a fancy cushion to de-clutter the mind. We can access the technology of meditation in the midst of our urban environment, hit the refresh button, and flow more gracefully through our world.
Each session in this series will introduce different meditation & mindfulness techniques that you can integrate into your daily life, including breath work, mantra, walking, metta and mindfulness. There will be a combination of instruction, practice and discussion.
Audio files for ongoing guided practice at home will included. If you have to miss a week, there will be an audio recording of the instruction available for you.
