Event Overview

Grab your sweetie, your bff, your sister, your workout buddy... and give yourself and each other a fun, healthy treat!

We'll play with a yoga sequence appropriate for all levels of experience (even none) and learn Thai massage techniques (ahem... totally appropriate in a group setting) that will make your body feel good and your heart happy. Partner yoga and bodywork is an awesome way to bond with each other, get even better stretches than you can on your own, and probably have a few laughs while you're at it.

Everyone will get a photo of you and your partner to keep (and post!) You choose: adorable, silly, yoga-calendar worthy or all of the above.

We'll close with a group meditation, a heart opening mantra, and tea with a special Valentine's snack.

This class is limited to 5 pairs so, so be sure you both register (or one registers with a plus one) at the same time.

What to Bring

Your yoga mat if you like (we have mats too), comfy clothes for stretching

Andrea Klunder is a healer, teacher and singer who works with the body, mind and spirit to create an integrated approach custom designed for each client. She has many years of experience practicing the healing arts of hatha yoga, meditation, Thai Bodywork and Reiki and views teaching as a spiritual practice. A true entrepreneurial yogi, Andrea was the director of a yoga for women’s health program at a major medical facility for 2 years, boutique yoga studio and spa owner in Lincoln Park for 5 years, and has led yoga teacher trainings and retreats in Chicago and abroad. She is the founder and organizer of the Kirtan Chicago Meetup, connecting like-minded souls in the practice of Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion, music, and dance), and most importantly, she loves singing kirtan as much as humanly possible.     My partner and I had a great time at the Yoga & Bodywork class. I learned some fantastic new partner stretches that I've been incorporating into workouts with my own personal training clients! Andrea is everything a yoga instructor should be - open, positive, caring, tuned in. She watched our communication with our partners throughout the class and gave great modifications if certain stretches or poses weren't working for individual bodies. Great experience. I look forward to taking other classes with Mindful-U!

    Me and my husband really enjoyed the class. Neither of us have much yoga experience but never felt intimidated by the poses etc. The class was also a lot of fun. We spent quite a bit of time laughing at ourselves. I highly recommend.

    This is a wonderful class for both yoga vets and newcomers. My wife and I got to learn new poses we can do together to stretch, build strength, and rely (lean) on each other for balance. The class is light-hearted, fun, and will bring you together with your partner. The space is small which means more interaction with the instructor. I recommend.
