Urban Adventures in Meditation

Wish you could meditate? Feel like you should? So why DON'T you?
No time, nowhere to do it, can't sit still... these are the most common obstacles we busy city-dwellers face when trying to establish some consistent practice for reaching peace at our core.
We don't need more hours in the day, total silence, or even a fancy cushion to de-clutter the mind. We can access the technology of meditation in the midst of our urban environment, hit the refresh button, and flow more gracefully through our world.
Each Adventure will introduce meditation & mindfulness techniques that you can integrate into your daily life. We'll meet in various places around Chicago and practice in context. Every session will be completely unique! No previous meditation experience is required.
9/28 = Breathing. Body Scanning. Mindful Eating. We'll meet at New Wave Coffee in Logan Square and practice mindfulness techniques in the context of this bustling outdoor market.
Important! Specific instructions & instructor's mobile # will be sent prior to your adventure. Look for an email from Andrea via Dabble the day before.
Notebook/journal/paper & pen. Comfortable shoes. Weather appropriate clothes. A few $ cash for your mindful purchase. Whatever mind you happen to have with you that day.
All ages welcome

This was a good experience! I liked that it took place at the Logan Square farmer's market because the opportunities for savoring the experience were many in such a wonderful place. Andrea, the teacher, did a great job of introducing basic meditation concepts before sending us off to make our "mindful purchases."

Excellent basic introduction to meditation practice and tools. Also provided great tips for using apps and web sites to complement learning about meditation. t was a good introduction for me and helped to demystify and simplify how to start a real meditation practice.
