Event Overview

Make a beautiful mosaic where you can incorporate images and found objects! You will learn to glue and grout in a fun and relaxing environment.

We will be using paper and glass to create unique and beautiful mosaics.

I will have all kinds of mosaic trinkets, tiles and glass for you to accent your piece. You are welcome to bring your own images or special items to incorporate into your piece. I will provide all supplies and materials including old magazines and images.

This class is BYOB, feel free to bring your favorite drink or snack. Its is sure to be a fun night socializing and crafting!

Norma Rios Sierra

Norma D Rios-Sierra received her Bachelor of Art History from Columbia College Chicago in 2009. She has lived in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, San Diego, California and most recently McAllen, Texas. She was first introduced to stained glass art while working as a translator at a stained glass factory in Mexico. Her work consists mostly of stained glass mosaic featuring bold images inspired by iconic Mexican imagery, textiles and embroidery.

My mom and I participated in this class as part of her birthday present. We both loved it! I'd taken two mosaic classes before from another place and was not a fan, but this is what my mom wanted. Norma completely changed the mosaic world for me! She is a great instructor. The classes are held in her home with lots of inspiring mosaics, a fantastic array of creative supplies are available and treats. My mom and I each made two small mosaics, but the project(s) you undertake is flexible. Highly recommending this class and I'll take it again.
