Thank you for choosing Mosaico Arte Chicago for your team building event!

In this class, you will learn all the basics of mosaic design and grouting. We will mosaic a 4 inch ceramic flower pot which you will be able to take home with you.

All supplies will be provided including one 4 inch flower pot. No tools necessary. All glass will be precut or cut on site for you. Feel free to bring your own small personal items to incorporate into your piece.

I first learned how to cut glass as a teenager in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, while learning to make stained glass windows. In order to avoid disposing of the glass waste, I began to make mosaics. I love breaking that beautiful glass and piecing it all back together in any way I want. I am part of an woman artist collective called Mujeres Mutantes. I graduated with an Art History degree from Columbia College Chicago.

Norma is flexible, patient, encouraging, and helpful, which is great for people trying mosaics for the first time. We came away with nice flower pots and learned a lot about mosaic work in general. Definitely recommend Norma and her classes!

We had so much fun picking out fun pieces for our project, snacking on veggies from Norma's garden and chatting while we made our pot. Norma provided great advice and tips and our pots turned out great! Such a fun project for someone who has never done a glass mosaic!!! Highly recommended - Norma's a pro!
