Event Overview

The butterflys ability to change from the crawling caterpillar to a flying adult is magical. Many myths about butterflies have arisen in very different cultures that are representative of renewal, transformation, death, and rebirth or resurrection, awakening, consciousness, courage, love, joy, and hope. Their infinitely varied patterns have inspired artists for many centuries.

Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon in my home studio contemplating this beautiful creature and creating a beautiful work of mosaic art.

You will have lots of glass, tiles and other trinkets to help you create your beautiful mosaic butterfly. All materials will be provided including a 14 inch wood butterfly cutout. Just bring your imagination!

In this class, you will learn all the basics of mosaic design and grouting. We will mosaic a 14 inch inch wood cutout of a butterfly which you will be able to take home with you. All supplies will be provided. No tools necessary. All glass will be precut or cut on site for you. Feel free to bring your own small personal items to incorporate into your piece. This class will take place in my home studio in Logan Square.

This will be a 4 hour workshop. BYOB. I will provide light snacks and other refreshments.
$40 plus $10 material fee.

Love, Love, LOVED my mosaic class with Norma.
She's a master at mosaics and stained glass having studied and apprenticed for several years with another glass master in Mexico - home of mosaics!
I have great respect for her and her talent.
Her home studio was very charming with tons of mosaic supplies to choose from.
She also had a lovely little lunch laid out for the class participants with great refreshments, too.
Norma's very generous and has a nice way of guiding and instructing, helping you to make your first mosaic piece one to be proud of.
    Mine turned out FAB, BTW!
I would definitely take more classes with her.
    And through Dabble!!
    BEST,
