Event Overview

You receive the invitation and quickly delete it thinking, "Ugh. But I won't know anyone there." But what if that event or social occasion holds the key to that great new job, new love relationship, or new friend you have a lot in common with.

40-45% of the population identifies as shy. If you are among them, you may need a little extra help knowing how to take on new social situations. In this class, we cover:

Active and Empathetic Listening
1. Identifying Emotions and Gauging Interest
2. The PSCQ Listening Technique
3. The Top 10 Ways You Aren't Listening
4. Understanding the Emotional Mirror

Networking Conversation Skills
1. Your 7 Second Introduction
2. Preparing Your Conversations
3. 7 Ways to Talk to Anybody
4. Rules of Engagement
5. Dealing with Negative Behavior

Class concludes with a BYOB cocktail time and practice session. Come on out with a good attitude and a sense of adventure.

Note: This class is at a private residence. Address information beyond the cross-streets will be provided in an email prior to class.
