Jam Session: Raspberry-Apple
TOP RATED
10 Have Dabbled
Food & Drink
Pay tribute to your grandmother in this dreamy, slow Sunday morning class. We'll be wearing freshly pressed aprons, making a sweet batch of raspberry-apple jam, and drinking a bottle of vino before noon ... just like she used to do in the good old days.
Neither the thrill of making something so sweet and aromatic nor the convenient excuse to drink on the job have been lost in translation between generations, as we're just as excited about this Dabble class as we know she'd be about teaching it. We'll be pairing the season's juiciest fruit-- raspberries-- with the staple of all Americana cooking-- apples-- in this workshop, and each student will walk away with recipe cards and 2 half-pint jars of raspberry-apple jam. Whether you share one jar with some friends or keep both to yourself, we promise we'll never tell (...discretion was something our grandmother's did very well).
Don't forget to BYOB, as there is a lot of stirring and not too much exact measuring.
All ages welcome

We were able to see different sets of jam cooking and got information about each stage of the cooking process. The instructor was very open to questions. I also liked that we got a recipe sheet to take with us.

Andrea explained every step of the process and WHY we would do it this way vs another way, but always gave us the options. She was wonderful!
