Make Spooky Yard Silhouettes
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
In this fun activity, Makers will create spooky shapes and characters to decorate their lawn for the Halloween season!
Using jig saws, band saws, and other tools, students can cut out any shape imaginable. Then you may decorate your designs with any color of paint (or make it an eerie black silhouette!). You'll be able to stake your creations into the ground to decorate your front walkway to scare / entertain your trick or treaters! Every Maker will have one 4' x 4' sheet of water proof plywood from which to cut their designs. You can make a lot of little shapes, 4-5 small shapes, 2-3 medium shapes, or maybe just one big shape!
Make an entire grave yard with funny epitaphs, or a whole bunch of zombie arms and heads crawling out of the ground, or some spooky signs, or a great big pumpkin, or a witch and a monster! Or a bunch of different designs. Let your creativity run wild! We will have some examples and templates available to trace or inspire. A variety of paint colors with which to decorate, and ground stakes / reinforcing braces to attach once your designs are completed.
This is a family friendly activity. Admission for one child is free with a paid adult ticket. Youth over the age of ten are permitted use any power tools with which they / their parents feel comfortable, with direct parent supervision. Youth of any age may draw and paint!
Bring a snack and water bottle if you like. Wear clothes you wont mind ruining with a splash paint, or getting dusty
All ages welcome
