Everyone has a story. Some prefer to share theirs in writing. Some would rather theirs not be shared at all. And some of us like to pepper our stories with a little mystery, a little drama, a little art. If you're of the latter camp, we've discovered a great new technique for expressing ourselves in a creative, artistic way that's both quintessentially 'us' and also universally appealing all at once.
Join us at One Strange Bird to explore the art of the collage, in this relaxed, social environment. Using found papers, images, and paint learn to create a unique piece of art. Learn basics of composition to create intriguing backgrounds to transfer your found images. Recycled papers and personal mementos can take your work to the next level. Play with wax, water color, and acrylic mediums. You will leave with an original work on wood and the inspiration to continue at home.

It wasn't too big, and as seated close together, it allowed for social interaction, which was a nice change from other classes at studios where there isn't much time to socialize while creating b/c always listening to the instructor. Nice breakdown of instruction and time to create. Casual, approachable, easy-going atmosphere and teacher approach.
