Event Overview

Join us for this BYOB jewelry class! Use up-cycled metal materials and beads to create your own swoon-worthy jewelry designs. Join Maia Leppo in learning simple beading, wire, and metal techniques. Participants will make earrings and necklaces using a combination of dapped circles, bottle caps, tin, and sparkling beads. Learn beading, drilling, and dapping to go home in your own designs. BYOB!

Maia Leppo
Maia graduated from Tufts University in 2008 with a degree in Biology and Community Health. After two years in the world of Kidney Research in Boston, MA, she quit her job and moved to Gatlinburg, TN as a participant in the work study program at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Ten metals classes later, she was hooked and knew she wanted to be a metalsmith. She continued her education at Pocosin Arts in Columbia, NC and opened a gallery there. She now is a full time studio artist in Chicago. Maia enjoys running, cooking, reading and being in the studio. Her favorite food is sushi.
