One Strange Bird is a storefront art center featuring handmade gifts, apparel, and art in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. The store carries exquisitely crafted, brazenly unique art, accessories, and bath and body products by local and national artists and a wide range of gifts, paper goods, and art supplies. The space features art classes and BYOB art parties in many techniques taught by local artistic talent. Run by an artist, One Strange Bird seeks to foster a dialogue between process and product by featuring an on-site studio where customers can see artists making art, while they shop. The space also hosts art openings by Chicago talent. It is our hope that One Strange Bird will blur boundaries between Fine Art and Craft, art and life, and process and product by having all reside in a singular space.
