Oil Painting Portraits
Arts & DIY
Join artist Nicole Northway in learning a traditional oil painting method to create a monochromatic oil painting you will be proud of. We will use the "Bistre" method to construct our subject's tonal value, composition, and proportion. Learn this simple technique to create a beautiful painting. Bistre is Itallian for "wipe out", where the highlights of the subject are wiped away to allow the white of the canvas to show through.
This class welcomes any skill level. Complete beginners from seasoned artists will benefit from learning this new technique.
