Arts & DIY
Join teaching artists Nicole Northway and Jess Egan, and learn the basics of hand building with clay.
Students will learn the hand building practices of coil building, pinch pots, and slab building. Tips and techniques in finishing a piece will be discussed and each student will get to bring home their original piece of clay art. Dabblers will use self-hardening clay, so they can paint their masterpieces at home on their own.
Build a pot for your spring flowers, a coffee cup for your loved one, or an original piece of art. Come be inspired by the possibilities of a lump of clay and push and pinch your way to a masterpiece. This class is great for the complete beginner or artists looking to try a new medium.
