Join one of Chicago's own Experts in learning about Scotch!

They call Scotch the granddaddy of whiskey because it's rough and tumble, been around forever and after a few glasses it makes anyone feel like they're ready to give wise life advice.

Which is why, of course, it's our drink of choice. And while we love Scotch for all it's cultured goodness, without the proper guidance and knowledge it can be a bit scary (and not very tasty).

We'll take you by the hand and walk you through the basics and finer points of Scotch so you can make the right choices. Expect to taste 4 very different profiles of Scotch and in the process learn:

- The history and stories behind each brand
- The lexicon of Scotch terminology, and what questions to ask before ordering
- A few choice garnishes, pairings and suggestions for serving.

He brought this knowledge and experience to Chicago 7 years ago when he joined the team of skilled professionals at Eat, Drink, Educate. Extremely enjoyable class. Teacher was knowledgable, engaged and easy going. Great insights into Scotch for a complete beginner. Would absolutely recommend.

I'm not really a fan of scotch but I hoped to leave with a better understanding and appreciation for it and that definitely happened. I still prefer bourbon, though.

This was my second class Dennis at Eat Drink Educate. He has a wealth of knowledge about liquor and can generally answer any question you throw at him. The atmosphere of the class is always lighthearted, you don't need to be a scotch snob to take it. Overall, a fun hour and a half, totally worth it.
