Event Overview
Learn 3 healthy Indian recipes that will give your body comfort and your taste buds pleasure during the Winter season and beyond! You’ll get the skills to bring some ethnic spice and color to your table and learn how to pick the right ingredients for your dishes.
In this class, Dabblers will learn how to make:
- Vegan Organic Brown Rice Byriani (gluten-free). Perhaps the most popular Indian dish of all, in its super-healthy version!
- Chana Masala (vegan, gluten-free). A high-protein dish: sun-dried chickpeas seasoned with cumin and fresh onion, sauteed and topped with tomato gravy. The favorite dish of Arya Bhavan Restaurant’s GrubHub customers.
- Chocolate Truffles. A pleasure-filled raw, vegan, gluten-free dessert with a secret Indian twist.
Feel free to ask any questions about Indian cooking and vegan/raw/gluten-free cuisine throughout class. Chef Kirti has been doing it for 40 years and knows it all!

All I can say is WOW! This was my first ever Dabble class and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. Kirti was just fabulous! She's the real deal! She taught us so many of her "secrets" learned from years of cooking her delicious food at her family restaurant Arya Bhavan. Oh and by the way, everything is vegan (yes!), fresh, organic and gluten-free - and absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to test out my new authentic Indian recipes equipped with the knowledge Kirti gave us.
Oh and I left completely stuffed too! To start off our morning Kirti gave us steaming hot & spicy bowls of "upma", a traditional Indian breakfast of cream of wheat and various spices. Warm and spicy it was the perfect start to the day. We got to sample freshly made garlic naan, biryani, chana masala & chocolate truffles while Kirti gave us detailed instructions on how to make everything. Like I said... wow!
Thank you Kirti & Dabble for providing this exceptional experience. I will be back to Arya Bhavan for their fresh, healthy, vegan (!) authentic Indian fare and can't wait to cook some myself.
