Event Overview

Pickling usually refers to the process of fermenting food in a salty brine. However, another kind of food preservation can involve soaking food in an alcohol solution that keeps it from spoiling using Vodka, Gin, Whiskey or Tequila. In Drunken Pickles, the class will touch on all the basics of making alcohol infused foods, what produce to select, food safety, pickling, and the canning process. Take home delicious handmade pickles from class!

Joseph is the owner of Paired Wine Co and is a graduate of Kendall College. Along with wine, spirits and a love for all things food, Joseph has made a business of having fun and enjoying life.
Come drink, cook and laugh! We will make food, sample it and drink wine. All of Joseph's classes are small and designed for small groups.

This was such a fun class. Joe was such a great instructor. He explained everything in great detail and clearly. Joe was so patient and answered all my questions. The 90 minute class went by so fast and I didn’t want to leave. I am definitely coming back!!!

Was a really nice experience overall. The studio was small but quanit and created a friendly environment for the class. There’s not much to pickeling so this is all about learning and socializing. Would do another class at mL!

My son and I truly enjoyed Joe's teaching style. The teaching space was really cool. We felt welcome and had a blast. We also go to make pickles!

First of all, Paired is a simply beautiful space that was in itself a treat to visit! Second, the class was a lot of fun and the owner who taught it was very laid back and friendly. Overall, had a great time and will be back.

This was a great class! Very fun and carefree, and a different way to spend a Saturday evening. Bonus points for having a great selection of wine in store, and some flatbreads for us to enjoy while learning about pickling.
