Kristallnacht, also known know as “Night of Broken Glass,” in 1938 began the Violent German Pogroms when over 5,000 Jewish businesses, synagogues, and institutions were either destroyed or damaged and over 30,000 Jews were placed in concentration camps all across Nazi Occupied Germany. Micah E. Brandt’s film explores the night of Kristallnacht from both sides and the 70th commemoration events that brought over 20 American guests and their families together in the small hamlet town of Wetter, Germany in 2008.
