Arts & DIY
Blockprinting is a traditional, and adaptable non-toxic way to print patterns on fabric. Students will learn all the essential skills needed for printing on fabric with a hand-carved block, including the conception and design of a motif.
Each student will carve their own image into a linoleum block, and be able to experiment with color modification and repetition to create a variety of patterns. Blocks and an array of fabrics will be provided and students will leave the workshop with finished textiles and the knowhow to continue printing at Spudnik or their home.
