Letterpress Your Own Valentines
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
Making your own Valentines card is a perfect foray into letterpress printing. Spend a Sunday afternoon in the Spudnik Press Printshop learning about printing history and miscellany. For example, where the phrase “mind your p’s and q’s” came from? Each attendee will work with their own short saying, select a typeface, and learn how to hand set lead type, transfer to a press, and print. Students print 20 unique valentines and are encouraged to swap cards with their classmates to bring home a DIY variety pack of cards.
