Event Overview

In this fast-paced junk journaling workshop, we will create a small junk journal that includes a few goodies to go inside, including pockets, tucks, tags, and journaling cards.

We will create as many fun things inside as time allows but you will have a basic understanding of how to make more after the workshop is over. The workshop includes several pdfs - basic instructions and measurements, ideas for how to use your journal and words you can print out, cut up and include in your journal.

The kit includes: a variety of papers, some decorative cardstock for a cover and inside elements, some lace and sari silk ribbon scraps, needle, thread, and some bits, bobs, and bling.

You will need: glue, scissors, an awl or other pokey tool (last resort, a thin nail will suffice), a soft yet dense backing (phone book, other book, heavy foam) to use behind your awl or pokey too so you don't mar your table, and several bull or other heavy-duty clips.

Nice but not necessary items are: some type of fabric glue (fabri-tac), Art Glitter Glue with the metal tip, distress ink (or any pad ink) and foam to apply it with (makeup sponge works well), a paper cutter, and any decorative punches you might have lying around. If you also have any of your own personal ephemera, that would be a bonus! (Movie tickets, photos, receipts from a favorite meal or clipping from a favored magazine.)
