You can create magical galaxies from simple watercolor paints. Elena will demonstrate a variety of techniques to depict galaxies and night skies, including incorporating alcohol, ink, and salt. Practice step-by-step along with Elena to experiment with all the options, and then put them all together to create your own unique art.

These pieces are great for framing.

In this workshop, you will
- work with pan and tube watercolors
- experiment with alcohol, inks, and salt
- learn the wet on wet watercolor technique
- play with texture in your paintings
- learn about light sources and adding shadows and highlights correctly
- play with your mistakes to incorporate them or fix them

Your kit will include:
- watercolors
- paint brushes
- watercolor paper
- white gel pen

What you'll need at home:
- jar of water
- paper towel
- pinch of salt
