Welcome to Whole Foods Market, Lincoln Park's Cooking Classroom! Our mission is to bring back home cooking. No matter what kind of food-lifestyle you live, learning to cook for yourself is always the healthiest way to eat. Come join us and participate in a medley of opportunities to enhance your knowledge, gain new skills and socialize with like-minded individuals.
My friend and I wanted to try something new for our next get together, rather than the usual dinner and/or drinks, so we decided to take the Red Star Farmers Market Cocktail Class. The class started off with information regarding equipment that would be helpful at home (eg; a proper shaker, strainer, muddler, etc.) and moved into simple techniques. We learned muddling, the order of making your drink, infusing alcohols, etc. She offered a lot of helpful tips and tricks before moving into the fun part - making and tasting the drinks! Lorna made each drink for us to sample, and at the end of class, we were each able to make our own drink specific to our tastes. Lorna was approachable, funny, and informative throughout the entire class and wanted to ensure that everyone was confident with their technique before leaving class. My friend and I can't wait to fine tune our skills for our next cocktail party!
