So many diets come and go within a person’s life when they are trying to be healthy. We would love to put to rest the term diet and teach people about a healthy food lifestyle. Come join our Cooking At Home Specialist, Sarah, as she walks you through the steps to understanding what it means to eat for nutrition. You will be shown you the techniques needed to create a lifestyle full of whole-food, nutrient-dense, mouth-watering recipes. You will learn the techniques for steam frying, broth roasting, kale massaging, dairy-free cream sauces and more!
Come hungry because you will be eating your creations throughout the class. Class includes take-home recipe card. If you participate in 6 Basic Skills Classes, you will get a 7th class for FREE through Whole Foods. See a Cooking School Team Member for a punch card.

I enjoyed this class, and would recommend if you’re interested in a hands on approach to learning about healthier cooking. The participant size is small and caps at 12, but there were only 6 people in our class which was a perfect amount. We made a variety of recipes and you get take home sheets for all of them - and we learned how to read nutrition labels and what to watch for. All in all a good class, with a friendly and knowledgeable instructor.

Sarah is a wonderful teacher! She takes her time to answer everyone's questions and we had a blast making healthy, delicious food!

Just like everyone else, I've been wanting to eat cleaner. And that means cooking for yourself instead of eating out.
It looks so easy on TV and on Internet recipes. But then you find yourself in your kitchen with all the ingredients in front of you. Some of which you've never even heard of before. And you're thinking: Mayyybe I'm in over my head.
That's exactly how I felt before signing up for this class. I needed someone to show me the ropes of using a bunch of different ingredients in simple ways, all in the name of eating cleaner.
You're in good hands in this class. Sarah and Yvonne are really attentive, patient, and helpful instructors. And they generate a really fun vibe for the few hours you're cooking in the room with fellow cooks.
The class focused on plant-based and vegan eating, which I personally don't follow. So not everything was stuff I'll actually cook for myself. Still, it was cool to learn new ways to use ingredients, and brush up on my basic cooking skills.
If you're looking to eat healthier or add a few new cooking tricks up your sleeve, you should totally take this class.

Loved this class and the breadth of information we covered in a single session. I walked out with a better understanding of nutrition labels and ingredients, as well as breakfast and lunch for the next day! Good combination of demonstration and hands-on learning.

A lot of good cooking and nutritional tips--and a lot of good snacking along the way! This is my first class from Whole Foods, and I'll definitely be back. They catered to all of my dietary restrictions, and helped me make some delicious and easy meals.

I always enjoy classes at Whole Foods - I tend to take some good information out of them and it's great to be able to try out different recipes as we go along. This class was helpful - there's a ton of information out there so it's nice to just have building blocks of what goes into a good meal and why and what it does for your body.
